Pontiac Police Corporal Daron Bagnell faces a disciplinary hearing with the Fire and Police Commission in Pontiac, which began Wednesday morning.
Bagnell, an 18-year-veteran of the Pontiac Police, has been on administrative duty since around the time formal charges were filed in McLean County of obstruction of justice after a May 1, 2013, off-duty crash in McLean County. Bagnell was acquitted of those charges in February.
The commission is in charge of imposing discipline it deems appropriate and has to keep in mind Bagnell has a union contract.
The hearing was continued to May 13 at 9 a.m. and expects a full two-day trial with May 21 and 22 reserved.
