A Thursday fire left heavy fire and smoke damage to a mobile home at Vermillion Estates in Pontiac.

According to Pontiac Fire Chief Scott Runyon, a passerby called in the blaze around 12:40 p.m. The fire is believed to have started around the kitchen stove, leaving heavy fire damage to the kitchen and heavy smoke and heat damage to the remainder of the mobile home.

Runyon said there were no injuries and the Cullom Fire Department assisted during the call.
