A Day in the Garden Patch is coming to Pontiac Saturday, April 9 from 8:30 to noon at the University of Illinois Extension office.

This event is a joint venture between the Livingston County Master Gardeners and Ella Maxwell from Hoerr Nursery in Peoria. Maxwell will be presenting a portion of the event with information about some of the new must-have plants of 2016. The Master Gardners will focus on starting a native plant garden and demonstrate container making.

The cost of the event is $20 and registration can be made by calling 815-842-1776 or by visiting web.extension.illinois.edu/lmw/register.
