The Pontiac Fire Department responded to two separate fires Friday morning.

According to Pontiac Fire Chief Scott Runyon, the first call came in shortly before 10 AM at Caterpillar in Pontiac. Runyon said a small fire was reported in a filter system contained to one of their machines. He said there was damage to the equipment.

The second call came in shortly before 1 PM to a wind turbine in rural Saunemin. Runyon said firefighters were able to cordon the area to observe and protect people from the potential of falling debris.

Runyon said there were no injuries from either incident.
