A Thursday morning fire in Dwight claimed the life of one.
Livingston County Coroner Michael Burke said 58-year-old Patricia Bonora died in the house fire that happened shortly after 6:30 a.m.
According to Dwight Deputy Chief Justin Dyer, the blaze happened at 115 W. Chippewa Street. Firefighters were informed Bonora was in the home, where she was discovered without signs of life.
Two civilians were injured and treated on the scene by Dwight EMS.
Assisting Dwight included Gardner, Odell, Pontiac, Saunemin, Allen Township, Braceville, Coal City and Morris fire departments and Duffy Ambulance Service.
The fire is under investigation by the Illinois State Fire Marshal, MABAS Division 15 investigators and the Livingston County Coroner’s office.
