Residents in the Pontiac area have a chance to join the “Biggest Loser Community Challenge” through the Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce.

The contest is associated with the NBC show “The Biggest Loser,” where men and women are put on strict diets and subjected to rigorous exercise in an attempt to lose the most weight and win the grand prize. Sign-up before January 31 to be eligible for many of the prizes offered through the contest.

Mindi Terrell, executive director of the Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce, explained that teams of four can sign up online to compete in this contest.

“Every week, there will be different challenges, you’ll have access to all kinds of information, tips and training things by signing up for the Community Challenge. I think it’s going to be really great,” Terrell said.
