A community program to address prescription pill abuse and heroin awareness is coming to Pontiac February 3.

“A Tough Pill to Swallow” will feature speaker Tim Ryan and Pontiac Police Chief Jim Woolford said Ryan will tell listeners a story about what it’s like have it all then lose it all because of drugs.

“This was a man who had everything and lost everything. I really hope people are interested in coming out to this program. We’re going to be getting the fliers out. I’ll be making lots of rounds, asking people to show up and come out to this program because we really do need the public’s support in stopping this,” Woolford said.

The event begins at 6:30 PM at Pontiac Township High School.
