Livingston County Board member Joe Steichen was sentenced to 12 months court supervision Tuesday in Pontiac.

Steichen was charged with one felony and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct stemming from filing a false police report during a November 2014 incident.

Steichen has publicly apologized for his actions that led to the charges, but they remained in place.

After originally requesting a jury trial, he pled guilty to the misdemeanor in exchange for the felony charge being dropped. Judge Jennifer Bauknecht handed down the sentence.
