The Historic Jones House is having its annual Christmas Open House, beginning Friday.

Brenda Thompson, who is one of the many volunteers who helps out at the house, said the decorating is complete and people visiting will step back in time when they enter the home.

“I think the fact that the house will be somewhat dark and we will have dim lights and they’ll be looking at things differently and they’ll seem more magical,” Thompson said.

The open house is scheduled for the first three Fridays in December from 5 to 7. The Historic Jones House is located at 314 E. Madison Street in Pontiac.
