One Pontiac tobacco retailer was found non-compliant recently during the tobacco compliance checks conducted November 24

During the “Kids Can’t Buy ‘Em Here” retail tobacco sales campaign, Laura Larsen, employee at Trainor BP, sold tobacco to a minor agent.

Selling tobacco to minors carries with it a mandatory first offense fine of $200, with $400 and $600 fines for subsequent offenses.

The Pontiac Police Department has been a part of the Kids Can’t Buy ‘Em Here campaign

since 2007. They distribute educational kits to retailers at the beginning of each campaign to help train employees.
