The United Way of Livingston County is looking for homes for several of their collection jars for the United Way Drive.
Executive Director of the United Way of Livingston County Deb Howard said the canisters have already found some homes, but there are more ready to take their places at local businesses.
“It’s so nice you let us put that here, because people can come by and donate in the canister right here at WJEZ. We’re going to be starting the Penny Campaign at all the grade schools here in town during the last week of October, which is Red Ribbon Week. We have canisters out at a few different locations. We’d love to see them all full,” Howard said.
Currently, the jars can be found at Bank of Pontiac at 300 W. Washington Street, Mojo’s Majik Bean at 214 N. Main Street, Pontiac Family Kitchen at 904 W. Custer Avenue and the WJEZ Studios at 315 N. Mill. To adopt your own jar, call the United Way at 815-844-5131.
