The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced next year’s inductees:
Lou Reed
Green Day
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
Bill Withers and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band
Ringo Starr – “Award for Musical Excellence”
Every artist becomes eligible for the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single. The induction ceremony will be held at Cleveland's Public Hall on April 18th, 2015. The general public will be allowed to attend, as usual, and tickets go on sale this Thursday. Each year, the ceremony tends to end with the honored artist jamming together. Although Withers and Starr have voiced hesitation, Jett is rumored to end the night playing one of her signature hits, “I Love Rock and Roll” – how fitting!
