Two local school superintendents spoke at Wednesday’s Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce’s Issues and eggs.

District 90 Superintendent Jon Kilgore and District 429 Superintendent Brian Dukes spoke to the attendees about the state of the schools in their districts and highlighted upcoming projects.

Dukes said these events are always a good chance to talk to people about what is happening in the schools.

“Answering questions is something I’ve really enjoyed. I think there are a lot of questions when it comes to our districts and we’ve really been trying to step up with communication to let people know what’s going on in our district because there are a lot of positive things happening and I think they haven’t always been communicated well to the community. We’ve tried to get a surge on getting that out. It’s a priority for us this year,” Dukes said.

The next District 429 Board of Education meeting will be at 7 p.m. this evening at Central School.
