With school starting very soon, the Pontiac Salvation Army is helping families in need prepare for the first day back.

The group will be holding a school supply giveaway from 9 am to noon August 4, 5, and 6.

Basic school supplies will be handed out to children and parents are asked to bring proof of children in the home. An example would be a medical card.
