The Pontiac Police nabbed three Champaign/Urbana men Saturday on several charges.
According to Pontiac Police Major Dan Davis, Daniel Grady and Rickie King of Champaign and Germel Butler of Urbana, were taken into custody near the intersection of Water and Ladd streets Saturday evening after a backseat passenger was holding the door open in an attempt to flag down officers while the vehicle was moving.
When officers stopped the vehicle, Grady, the driver, was arrested for driving on a revoked license and marijuana possession. Butler also was arrested for marijuana possession and resisting a peace officer and King was arrested for possession of crack/cocaine.
In the investigation, officers determined the passenger who got the attention of officers had voluntarily entered the vehicle, but later learned of the three men’s intention of leaving for another town and she didn’t want to go with them. An argument ensued and she saw the officers and flagged them down.
