A Pontiac man is on his fifth year collecting money to send children suffering from muscular dystrophy to camp in Hudson.

Oscar Gorbett can be seen walking in local parades and at the Fairbury American Legion Speedway collecting whatever people choose to donate.

“These kids always think everything is always good. Your support really helps out and I’d like every to get out there and help out because it’s something we’d like to find a cure for,” Gorbett said.

Currently, Gorbett has more than $3,000 of his $10,000 goal.

To donate, visit First Financial Bank at the corner of Mill and Madison streets in Pontiac.
