Humiston Woods Nature Center is holding a “Take Only Pictures” photo contest with all entries due November 6.

Director Ed Lipinski said the pictures can include those taken in the past, or new ones, and now is a great time to head out and find your perfect snap.

“People think late summer is kind of dull out there, but it’s not, especially if you visit the prairie or you investigate the woods a little bit more, there’s always texture and there’s a lot of color right now. If you like color, this is good. Of course, it will be turning colors later in October, so you’ll still have time to get some good photos taken and get them printed in time for the contest. Yeah, there’s still lots of time to do good things,” Lipinski said.

Applications are available at Pontiac Public Library and Bank of Pontiac and those include all rules, guidelines and dates.
