Many things come and go throughout the decades, but according to a man who made his first appearance at an ag fair 76 years ago, things are still fairly the same.
Eighty-eight year old Donald Zehr of Pontiac began his 4-H experience when he was 12, and has come back every year, for several reasons.
“My children showed here and now I have my grandchildren and great grandchildren showing here,” Zehr said.
He said though the fair is very similar to how things were when he was a child, there are a few things that have changed.
“When I started in 4-H, they even showed horses yet. They showed draft horses back at that age,” Zehr said.
The Livingston County Ag Fair ran last week from Wednesday through Saturday.
