URBANA – A car tied to the apparent abduction of a University of Illinois visiting scholar from China has been found at an undisclosed location, and the FBI is continuing to request information from the public to help locate the young woman.

Yingying Zhang hasn’t been seen since the afternoon of June 9th when security cameras showed Zhang entering a car at West Clark Street and North Goodwin Avenue in Urbana. Now, the FBI said it has found the Black Saturn Astra, which matches the description of the car shown in the video.

Investigators won’t say where they found the car, but say the discovery followed numerous leads about the vehicle.

The FBI said the investigation remains active, and they ask for the public’s assistance to help find the woman. The FBI is offering a reward of up to 10-thousand dollars.  Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALLFBI.
