“Hi everybody, Dick Vitale here. The Basketball Museum of Illinois and The V Foundation are teaming up for the Pontiac Elks Thursday night, September 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 for Dick Vitale Night. Hey, that’s me. I’m excited. I can’t wait to be there! This event is going to be awesome, baby with a capital A. The goal is very simple. We’d like to raise money for the Basketball Museum of Illinois to start construction this fall. We’re also going to raise money, which is so dear to my heart, for the V Foundation for cancer research, dedicated to pediatric cancer to help kids battling cancer. So, let’s go baby. Come out to the Pontiac Elks Club Thursday, September 7, for Dick Vitale night. It’s going to be awesome, baby! And fifty percent of all the donations are going to go to the museum and the other fifty percent to the V Foundation to help kids battling cancer,” Vitale said.
