A longtime fixture in the Christmas holiday landscape in Pontiac needs some help.

PROUD Interim Director Jessi Finkenbinder said the Santa House, which is where Santa visits with children around the Christmas holiday, is starting to show its age and PROUD is working to raise funds to bring it up to date and give it some additional repairs.

“’Save the Santa House’ is a fundraiser that PROUD is starting. Our current Santa House is kind of falling apart right now, so we need definitely some help from the community. It needs new carpeting, a new roof – just some TLC. It’s all over Facebook so if you want to donate anything – money, supplies, your volunteering – just go ahead and contact me or message us on Facebook,” Finkenbinder said.
