Teachers of children in grades Pre-K through 8 can attend the summer ag institute “A Taste of Illinois Agriculture,” June 5 through 9 at the Livingston County Farm Bureau office.

Farm Bureau Manager Jody Hughes describes this event, which is sponsored by her office and the Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District.

“You can come out for a week of tours, speakers and we’re going to give you a lot of lessons. Of course, we’ll have excellent snacks and lunches and things. So, with our summer ag institute, we do offer three graduate credits. We have offered two in the past and this year, we are able to offer three from Aurora University,” Hughes said.

Reservations need to be made before May 12, and is limited to 20 people. That can be done by calling Debbie Ruff at 844-6127, extension 3.
