The Flanagan-Cornell FFA is holding a greenhouse and plant sale beginning May 6 at the greenhouse near the Flanagan-Cornell football field.

Ag teacher Jessica Collins explains how working in the greenhouse has benefited her students.

“I would say, with 99 percent certainty, they really enjoy it. It’s great just to be able to get out of the classroom and we did a lot of plant science in our horticulture class first semester, and now that they can see it in action in real life and watch a seed start and grow all the way until it’s time to sell, there’s kind of a science to it all. It’s nice to be able to go do hands-on stuff, and I would say most of my students would probably say that’s the best part of their day,” Collins said.

The sale is May 6 and 13 from 8 to 3 and May 10, 11 and 12 from 3 to 7.
