The Overdose Awareness Memorial Event of Livingston County Illinois is holding a big event in downtown Fairbury May 6 beginning at 9 a.m. at North Park

Organizer Brandy Pekarovich said registration is open now and if people register before Friday, they will receive a free T-shirt.

“It’s the 5k, the walk and the kid’s fun run. We’re going to have some DJ entertainment, some guest speakers like last year and the year before, Unique Balloon Twist, the Zoo Lady, face painting, IHR, CARES Clowns and Operation Snowflake. They’re a very big support to us,” Pekarovich said.
