County looking for election judges

The consolidated election is coming up April 4, and the Livingston County Clerk’s office is looking for people who are interested in becoming election judges.

Clerk Kristy Masching explains.

“If you’re interested, please contact us. We have the criteria for an election judge on our website or call our office and we can give you all the wonderful details about that. We have been implementing high school juniors and seniors. There is a program out there, whereby if they have a certain GPA average and are juniors or seniors, they are eligible to work for us as election judges. I’m excited to say we’ve probably had 20 to 25 each election that have been working with us. It’s worked out great,” Masching said.

Masching also said this is a paid position and trainings are happening this week. For more information, call the clerk’s office at 844-2006 or visit livingstoncountyil.gov.
