Wednesday was International Women’s Day, and a Livingston County group made its presence known around the square in Pontiac throughout the day.
The “We’re Here Group” gathered around 10 a.m., complete with signs and participants wearing red, to spread their message of equality.
Joan Lipinski further explains the group’s message.
“This is so that if people want to take action on certain political stands or just human rights stands can, and they know they’re not alone. We’re Here. Our next group rally will be at 6:00 on the 21 of March on the Courthouse sidewalk,” Lipinski said.
