The Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its February Issues and Eggs Wednesday at 7:30 at Baby Bulls Fine Dining.
Executive Director Mindi Terrell explains the day’s topic.
“Jon Kilgore and Brian Dukes will be talking about STEAM. What that stands for is science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. And the thing that’s really exciting that’s going on in the Pontiac school district is they’re bringing the STEAM education program all the way down to the grade schools through the high school. This is really going to make Pontiac schools more competitive in the region, especially with some of the larger schools. And hopefully, in the long run, this is going to put our schools out in the forefront of our education,” Terrell said.
