By Todd Wineburner

One inmate at the Pontiac Correctional Center and 10 county residents tested positive for COVID-19 infection. That’s the latest from the Livingston County Health Department.

122 cases remain active in the county while the fatality total remains unchanged at 69. Nearly 4,000 people have tested positive in Livingston County and most have completed their isolation and are considered recovered.

The testing facility operated cooperatively by OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center and the health department announced new hours this week. The facility will be open from 8:30 until noon Tuesday through Friday each week. Appointments for testing are strongly encouraged and can be made by visiting the health department’s website at LCHD.US.
