One county resident and one inmate at the Pontiac Correctional Center are the latest individuals to lose their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Livingston County Health Department is reporting 26 new postive tests in the area, as well.
The two deaths bring the county’s toll to 55 lives lost. Overall, 2, 922 Livingston County residents have tested positive for COVID-19 infection and 120 of those cases remain active.
COVID-19 testing remains available in Livingston County through a cooperative effort between OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center and the Livingston County Health Department. Tests are performed at OSF St. James and test subjects do not need to leave their cars. Appointments for testing and other information are available at LCHD.US.
