No Slowdown in COVID-19 Infection Numbers

The nation is experiencing a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases, and Livingston County is no exception. The latest numbers from the Livingston County Health Department show that as of yesterday, the county had 1,651 positive tests for the virus. That number includes the most recent report which shows that 156 county residents are newly infected, along with 4 inmates at the Pontiac Correctional Center.

445 cases of the viral infection remain active while the fatality number sits at 15.

COVID-19 testing is available in Livingston County weekday mornings at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center. Appointments are strongly encouraged and can be made at the Livingston County Health Department website, LCHD.US. That website also contains detailed information on COVID-19 and its progress through the county.
