Heartland CC Summer Schedule Changed Due to Coronavirus Concerns

By Neil Doyle

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all summer classes at Heartland Community College are now provided online and no in-classroom courses are available.

Students who have already registered for face-to-face summer classes will be required to re-register for the comparable class online, according to Heartland Director of Public Information Steve Fast. .

Students are directed to check their IRIS account through my.heartland.edu to see if classes have been dropped and no longer appear on their personal schedule. Classes that were originally in an online format are not affected.

If the summer class has been dropped, students will need to re-enroll into the appropriate class in IRIS.?The college says some lab-based classes are not able to be offered in an online format and will remain cancelled.

Students will be prompted to take a one-time online course awareness survey before enrolling, if they have not already completed it.

Enrollment assistance is available through the advisement office. Summer classes begin May 18.
