An Amtrak train that makes stops in Pontiac and Normal is suspected of carrying the coronavirus.
A woman who recently traveled on the train from Chicago to St. Louis tested “presumptive positive” for Covid-19.
Amtrak representatives say that they are working closely with public health officials regarding the situation. They add that the train in question has been taken out of service for deep cleaning and disinfecting. The diagnosed passenger traveled on March 4th, and Amtrak is notifying travelers and employees who were on the train that day. The Lincoln Service 303 makes stops in Joliet, Dwight, Pontiac, Normal, and Lincoln.
