The Illinois Sheriff’s Association has announced it will be awarding over $50,000 in college scholarships throughout the state.

In Livingston County, Sheriff Tony Childress will be awarding one scholarship for $500.

To be considered for the scholarship students must be enrolled full time at a certified higher institution inside Illinois.

Applications will be accepted until March 15 and are available at the Livingston County Sheriff’s office or online at www.ilsheriff.org.
