County board members in Livingston County might see an increase in pay for attending committee and full board meetings.

The Livingston County Election, Rules and Legislation Committee met Tuesday afternoon and discussed the possibility of increasing the per diem payments.  The topic arose with discussion by ERLC Chairman Marty Fannin.

Fannin proposed a $5 raise for board members and a $20 raise for the board chairman.  Committee members raised concerns because of recent encouragement for austerity within other departments in the county.
