The Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual golf outing at the Pontiac Elks Club Friday, June 8, and they are looking for sponsors and golfers.

Executive Director Mindi Terrell explains where the money goes from the organization’s biggest fundraiser.

“This is our biggest fundraiser. This allows us to do things like Shop Local, Shop Chamber. It helps us to keep the price down on events, such as Lunch and Learn and Issues and Eggs. It helps us to be able to have the Athena Award and annual banquet. While we have sponsorships that help cover the costs of goes, in addition this is the money that helps us just have the doors open so we are here to be able to be a resource for the community,” Terrell said.

Terrell also said golfers and sponsors are both important in this day.

“It all goes to the same bottom line, whether you’re participating as a golfer or a sponsor. It all goes into that same pot as being part of our biggest fundraiser. Our golf outing is a lot of fun. We offer a lot of crazy things, so we just try to have a lot of fun with what we do,” Terrell said.

To register or sponsor, contact the Chamber at 844-5131.
