The Pontiac Kiwanis met Wednesday for lunch at PK Uncorked, one of Pontiac’s newest businesses.

Owner Patrick Killian was the guest speaker for the day and talked about how he and his wife, Pamela, turned a hobby of theirs into a business.

“We greet everyone that comes in the door and we’ve told our staff if someone sees that door open up, they have to welcome them, make them feel wanted so they want to stay. Whether they come in and get a glass of wine, a bottle of wine or a tasting, they can come back to the lounge, sit and read a book, the newspaper, knit – we want them to make themselves at home. We have the soft pits, we’ve got hard chairs – they can come in and make themselves at home at PK,” Killian said.
