The 24th annual Mighty Vermilion Duck Race to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Livingston County is slated for July 29, in conjunction with Pontiac’s Party in the Park.
The club’s Executive Director Gary Beckman said there are many highlights to the annual race.
“It’s always a fun time. It’s always interesting to see 5,000 rubber ducks get dropped off the Mill Street Bridge and float down the river in a scattered fashion. And it’s always exciting to give away a big cash prize of $4,000 to the grand prize winner,” Beckman said.
People can purchase ducks at area banks, businesses, the traveling large duck, at the club and online at bgcolc.com.
