Willys Overland Knight Registry is coming to Pontiac today, giving the public a chance to meet them and learn about their passion – cars ranging from 1910 to 1939.
Pontiac Tourism Director Ellie Alexander explained that the international club exceeds 5,300 members and they’ll arrive early and stay for the day.
“They’re very old cars and I’m not too familiar with them, and I don’t a lot of people are. Some of them don’t even have lights on them yet, they have the old brass lighting. They’re coming up to spend the day with us. They’re going to be visiting museums, taking trolley tours, eating lunch. They’re going to be coming in around 10, I believe, in the morning. We’re just happy they’re going to spend the day with us,” Alexander said.
The public is invited to come downtown this evening to view the cars and talk to the members about their passion for their vehicles.
