The Boys and Girls Club of Livingston County is holding a Backyard Barbeque Saturday afternoon at 5 at the club.
Executive Director Gary Beckman explains how they wanted to do something different for fundraising.
“Let’s flip this and flip it from a boys and girls club to a mom and dad club, but we don’t want to just make it moms and dads, so we turned it into a backyard barbeque. People can come, we are going to have tables and chairs, just a relaxing evening, have some great food, listen to some music, talk with people, have some beverages – just have a nice, relaxed evening. It’s supposed to be great, weather-wise. By the time the sun starts setting, it’s going to be a wonderful night,” Beckman said.
Tickets are available from any board member or at the club, located at1303 E. Indiana Avenue. The evening includes dinner, drinks, raffles and an auction.
