Two car accident injures two

A two car accident in Pontiac on Monday sent two to the hospital with injuries.

According to Pontiac Police, Michael Hurt was driving south on Walnut Street when he disobeyed the stop sign at Howard Street, colliding with a car driven by Miguel Villanueva when he was attempting to turn north onto Walnut Street off of Howard Street.

Both drivers were taken to OSF Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center, where they were treated and released. The vehicles were towed by Fogarty’s Towing and C&C Towing, with damage estimated to be in excess of $1,500.  Hurt was at fault and cited for failure to yield or stop at an intersection and driving while license was revoked.
