Prosecutors use many things to find evidence to try cases, and Livingston County State’s Attorney Randy Yedinak has found one that makes the case easier for him and his staff.
Yedinak was a guest on a recent community forum and talked about recent successes in the courtroom, with some being attributed to something as simple as a call from a jail inmate to family or friends.
“We’ve had a lot of good cases here recently. I’ve had a lot of successful prosecution. It’s interesting – we have access to jail phone calls here at the Livingston County Jail, and so when an inmate is being housed there, we can listen to certain phone calls that they are making, because a lot of times, they tend to incriminate themselves or say things maybe they shouldn’t be saying, and it makes it easier,” Yedinak said.
