Easing back into work

Can people who receive Social Security/Disability go back to work?

Jack Meyers with the Social Security Administration explains how people can do just that.

“There’s a system of work in place that allows a person to try to get back into the work force and see if they can do it and they don’t risk losing the disability benefits immediately. If you’re on Social Security/Disability, you have what’s called a nine month trial work period where you can work and earn as much as you want up to nine months before you would actually lose any type of Social Security check,” Meyers said.
