OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center was recently named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics.

This survey evaluates clinical and operational performances in 11 areas, from mortality rates to inpatient expenses per discharge and OSF Saint James President Brad Solberg said this recognition pushes staff to continue to strive to bring quality care to its patients.

“This one means a lot because Truven Health is a company where it’s not just a popularity contest, they look at outcomes and quality indicators as well as patient satisfaction, so really, it rolls all the important things together in terms of quality indicators, so it makes it a more important award for us,” Solberg said.

Winners were announced in the March 6 edition of Modern Healthcare magazine. For more information, visit 100tophospitals.com.
