Even though there are several communities throughout Livingston County, the United Way has statistics on just how many people receive services from each of the 18 agencies.
Executive Director Deb Howard explains how every community is helped.
“Chatsworth is 236, Cornell 165 people, Cullom 118, Dwight 544 people, and again, you think ‘well, we don’t get much help,’ and you don’t realize how much help you do get. Odell 124, Saunemin, a little bitty place, 68 people, and again, that’s not counting the food pantry and the Salvation Army,” Howard explained.
