Pontiac District 429 Superintendent Brian Dukes has been spending time in Springfield, joining others in an attempt to pressure lawmakers to come up with a budget.

Dukes said it’s time the state has a budget.

“Something’s got to give for our families here in Pontiac, and like I said, I think we really just need to put some pressure on Springfield to make something happen. Like I said, it’s not going to be great, all components. I think there’s some really good stuff to it and there are some things I really don’t like for our school district, but ultimately, enough already. They just need to get this done,” Dukes said.
