An incident that spanned the areas of Chenoa, Pontiac and in between early Tuesday afternoon led to the recovery of stolen firearms.
According to Chenoa Police Chief Travis Cornwall, a residential burglary that was caught on camera showed two suspects stealing multiple firearms from a home in Chenoa. The pair fled in a black Honda that was later identified and impounded in Pontiac. The Pontiac home where the car was found was searched for the two and after about an hour, it was determined by Livingston County Sheriff’s Police, Pontiac Police and Illinois State Police that the two suspects were not in the area.
Pontiac Police have said the two suspects were located in a vehicle and fled into the county, where they were apprehended and some firearms were recovered.
Willie Millsap and Christian Rex have been formally charged with several felony weapons counts, with possible McLean County charges pending. They are currently being held at the Livingston County Jail.
Also assisting in this investigation were the Fairbury Police and McLean County Sheriff’s Police.
