Registration is underway for this year’s Operation Snowflake, happening at Prairie Central Junior High in Forrest Saturday, March 11.

Tiffany Yoder, Prevention Specialist for IHR, explains this daylong event for sixth, seventh and eighth graders.

“The basis of our program is to get the drug free message across. That’s the main idea of our organization. But at the same time, we incorporate other things. There’s anti-bullying. We might be looking at healthy relationships this year. Just really developing those leadership skills. Being a good citizen. There’s a lot. Just being a well-rounded person kind of goes into all of it,” Yoder said.

Forms are available at all county schools and IHR. There are scholarships available for the program, which also includes the cost of two meals.
