Since new additions and changes to everyday life have been implemented at Pontiac Township High School, positive outcomes have been noticed by staff, faculty and students.
Principal Eric Bohm discusses those changes.
“Over the past five years, we have reduced our failure rate by 65 percent, which is awesome. If we look at the grades we had just last semester, out of 5,203 grades given, we only had 110 failures,” Bohm said.
Bohm said some of these changes they feel have helped students are greeting them at the door every morning, implementing before and after school tutoring and Saturday tutoring, a new retake policy for tests and homework and an increased average in attendance.
