Two arrested during narcotics investigation

Two individuals were arrested last week in rural Dwight for various heroin-related drug charges.

According to Dwight Police, a narcotics investigation led officers to 37 bags of purported heroin. Brian Kobiela of Dwight and Samantha Vigna of Normal were arrested and formally charged with felony drug – related counts.

Numerous hypodermic needles, more than $2,700 and a 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo were seized in the investigation.

Assisting Dwight included the Livingston County Pro-Active Unit, Sheriff’s Department, K-9 Unit, State’s Attorney’s office and Fairbury and Pontiac police departments.
