With the State of Illinois still functioning to the best of its ability with no real budget, the ones most affected are the human service providers serving the elderly, disabled and less fortunate.

State Senator Jason Barickman was a guest on a recent Community Forum and one question that was asked of him was what the long term ramifications were to these agencies who aren’t receiving their state funding.

Barickman said in the long term, the hope is the damage that is done in the short term won’t permanently inhibit the service providers.
